Australian Wattlesprig Tours

Australian Wattlesprigs

The Australian Wattlesprigs was the brain child of country Victorian stalwart Graham Gemmill. Not called the Australian Wattlesprigs at the time he toured England in 1983 and then arranged his own trip in 1986. 14 years later Graham’s twin sons David and Stephen decided to take on the tours and do something memorable in their Dad’s name and in 2000 took 31 players & tourists to the UK.

The name Australian Wattlesprigs was coined and tours across the world followed until 2019. In 2022 David contacted Shaun about continuing the Australian Wattlesprigs name into the future via the Merv’s Masters tours which began in 2018.

Merv and Shaun were honoured to carry the name and spirit into the future and have taken Merv’s Masters/Australian Wattlesprigs tours to the UK and NZ. The motto “for the love of cricket” sits perfectly for the tours going forward with all players keen to play to win and then enjoy mixing after the match making memories that will last a lifetime.
