The Coaches

Shaun Brown Cricket Coaching is proud to announce the following coaching panel:

Shaun Brown

Played 181 Premier Cricket first grade games for Hawthorn and South Melbourne. Amassed over 5000 runs (six centuries) with a highest score of 200 not out. Shaun has been a professional coach for the past 30 years where he has taken over 20,000 individual coaching sessions, he also coached Premier Cricket side Casey / South Melbourne for three seasons.

Garry Dougall

Garry is an outstanding coach who has worked in many roles in a life time of cricket! As a player he played first grade District cricket for both Melbounre and South Melbourne Cricket Clubs. He then took to head coaching at South Melbourne, University, Camberwell Magpies and Melbounre CC. His methods are very sound and his manner and effort is well recieved by all students lucky enough to work with him.

Navdeep Rai

Nav is a former SBCC student who has a long association with our team. Initially employed as a clinic coach he has graduated to Winter Warriors coach. He is a talented player who plays at Premier Club Essendon and has a methodical approach to his coaching.  

Shenan Dias

As a current premier player with Melbourne Uni with great promise. A spinner by trade his knowledge extents to all aspects of the game, his youthful exuberance is a highlight of his sessions.

Khush Talati

Khush is a promising fast bowler with Premier club Melbourne University who was recruited from VSDCA firstX1 ranks. His out going personality and attention to details will be appreciated by all who are coached by him

Doug Gott

Former Victorian pace bowler and elite player in District cricket with Collingwood CC in the 70’s & 80’s Doug has spent a lifetime in the game both playing and coaching at levels from elite to grassroots. His easy manner and proven coaching methods are a welcome addition to the team.

Christian Ewings

Is a former SBCC student who plays VSDCA cricket and has graduated from SBCC cricket camp coach to personal coach. Christian is ideally paced to assist all students he works with.

Cooper Cary

Originally regionally based Cooper’s work ethic and communication skill’s on the SBCC regional camps saw him recruited as a Staff coach. Now based in the city and studying at Vic Uni he is a welcome addition to this years Coaching team.

Paramvir Singh

A first grade player with VSDCA Coburg and another who’s excellent work as a coach on the SBCC camps saw him graduate to staff coach based at Thomastown. His analytic eye I appreciated by all students.

Nathan Shoesmith

A respected senior player with Essendon CC and school teacher by profession. His knowledge on wicket keeping is well received by all and his enthusiasm and personality see him as a popular new addition to the SBCC team.
