Small Group Winter Academies 2026 - 7 venues!
The small group academies are designed to give players consistent, professional coaching with my staff throughout the winter, helping build all-round skills in a group setting and set up for a strong season ahead.
With structured sessions and a focus on real improvement, it’s a great opportunity for players young players age 7-11 & 11-14.
Group sessions are available at
Thomastown, Bayswater Nth, Oakleigh, Dandenong Sth, St Kilda, Werribee & Melton.

Shaun Brown Winter Academy 2026- Thomastown
Shaun Brown will be heading a full-scale Winter Group Academy for the first time in 2025. He will be the head coach on all net sessions guiding a select small group of players preparing them for the upcoming season.
All sessions will run on Monday evenings at his centre "Clever Cricket" indoor centre on Thomastown starting June 1, 2026 & concluding September 7, 2026 and will feature
- Group sessions covering all formats of cricket
- Ages 7-10 & 11-14 (grouped according to age and skill level)
- 8 net sessions, 2 fitness sessions & 2 advanced fielding technique sessions
- only $25 per hour
- 12 sessions in total (no sessions in school holidays)
- June 1 to September 7
Winter Academy Students will also have access to
- International tours to India, New Zealand & the UK (ages 11-18)
- The annual winter full scale Practice matches booked of AFL public holiday September - Friday September 2026.
- 3 full scale realCricket matches (No Retirements, 40 over games - senior cricket rules) October/ November 2025 (Sunday)

Karen Rolton All Girls' Sessions - Winter 2026
Former Test star and Australian cricket legend Karen Rolton will lend her expertise to very small group sessions (4-5 per group) girls only. The sessions will be a chance to gain valuable access to Karen in a setting that allows for some one to one coaching while working with the group to improve.

- 4 Monday night 60-minute sessions
- May 25, June 29, July 13 & September 14
- Sessions run in Thomastown at Clever Cricket
- Net and bowling machine sessions with a batting focus.
- $60 per session

Adam Dale Fast Bowling Sessions - Winter 2026
Former Test and One Day Australian champion swing and seam bowler Adam Dale will be available for small group coaching sessions for the fist time ever this Winter!
His sessions will run on a Friday night and cover all the key aspects of what it takes to succeed in both the white & red ball formats of cricket.
- 4 Friday night 60-minute sessions
- June 5, July 3, July 31 & August 28, 2026
- Sessions run in Thomastown at Clever Cricket
- Net and bowling machine sessions with a batting focus.
- $60 per hour.

Neil Buszard Advanced Fielding Sessions - Winter 2026
Former Australian Baseball player, Australian u/19 Cricketer, 300 game premier cricketer & Victorian State coach Neil Buszard will be taking on small groups again in 2026 to supercharge their fielding.
Neil has also worked as a consultant fielding coach in the BBL for the Renegades and Hobart Hurricanes and is considered one of Australia's fielding experts.
His sessions will run on a Monday night focussing on throwing tecnique, ground fielding and more!
