As a member of the Winter Warriors Academy your development begins in May with personal coaching from Melbourne’s best coaches May-October. But for the first time ever our winter sessions will be supported and expanded through Spring and into Summer!
Winter Academy training sessions- Clever Cricket Thomastown
8 Sunday morning training sessions (9.00am till 10.30am - Sunday July 26 – Sunday Sept 13)
Each session has a focus skill assisting the player to prepare for all aspects of the season ahead. The session will provide each player with much needed net sessions facing bowlers.
Spring Academy full scale match- Shepparton
Academy match Friday Sep 25 (on turf)
Always a highlight of the Winter Program this much anticipated game will provide the final piece in your preparations for the season.
September Holiday Specialist sessions- Clever Cricket Thomastown
Group specialist sessions Wednesday Sep 23 & Thursday Sep 24 10.00am till 12midday
Small group session focussing on your choice of 2 of the following sessions.
Spin Bowling, Fast Bowling, Batting foundations, Batting to spin bowling,Batting – next generation
Summer Academy Training sessions- Clever Cricket Thomastown
Sunday Academy training sessions 5pm till 6.30pm

These 7 academy group training sessions will be a chance to discuss your personal results from weekend matches and prepare for the up coming game.Net sessions, video analysis and bowling machines will feature in each of the sessions.
Summer Academy full scale Match – Turf Ground Melbourne TBA
Academy Match Sunday November 29.(on turf)
Based on a Melbourne turf ground this match will be a chance to put all your skills developed over the year on display in this full scale match.
Optional extras
1. New Zealand Tour 2020.
Optional tour to New Zealand for players aged 11-14
December 6- 15, 2020.
2. Additional one to one sessions
3. Unlimited bowling machine and net hire at Clever Cricket for only $10 per hour.
Winter Warriors Academy features
- May- Induction night (from Test player), winter uniform (track suit and shirt) and lecture
- May- October- 10 personal one to one sessions.
- July 26- September 13- 8 sunday morning academy net sessions ( 90 minute sessions)
- September 23 & 24- 2 specialist sessions of your choice in the September holidays ( 4 hours)
- September 25 - Spring Academy full scale match (40 overs per side)
- October 11- Nov 22- Summer Academy training sessions (Sunday evenings)
- Novemeber 29- Summer Academy Full Scale match (40 overs per side)
- December 21,22,23 - 3 Day Graduate program featuring up to 6 former Test players.
- Optional extra- February - April - Additional (optional) one to one sessions until season end.
- Optional extra- Access to Clever Cricket indoor centre including nets, bowling machines and the exclusive Dartfish computer coaching program for $10 an hour! (unlimited)
- Optional extra- First option on tours to NZ & UK!
